Nokia Lumia 900 was released a couple of days ago and is selling like a hot cake, but some owners are experiencing issues with data connectivity on the phone. It seems that guys at winsource.com found a way to temporarily fix the problem.

Some phones are shipped without correct APN info, so you have to add your own. The correct info to enter is:

APN = wap.cingular
USER = wap@cingulargprs.com
PASS = cingular1

ONE: Pressing the volume key when the phone is ringing silences the call without rejecting it.
TWO: Holding the camera key will open the camera, even if the screen is locked.

THREE: When using the calculator app rotate the phone to landscape mode and you’ll get a scientific calculator.
FOUR: You can add additional keyboard layouts for different languages by going to Settings > Keyboard and afterwards you then see a language selection button next to the space bar whenever you are using the keypad.
FIVE: You can turn the autocorrection off by going to Settings > Keyboard, click “Typing settings”, then tap on “press to change” at the top of the screen. In the new window that opens, remove the tick from “Correct misspelt words”.
SIX: You don’t need an extra app to create a “to do” or “shopping” list. You can easily use the preinstalled Office app instead. Open Office, go to “notes” and then add a new note by pressing the + sign. Label them accordingly and pin them to your homescreen.
SEVEN: If you know a newer version of an app is available but it isn’t showing as an update yet, you can force the update (if it is available in your country). Find the app in the marketplace, press the share button then press the back key and the update button will appear.

EIGHT: If your battery starts draining faster than usual you may want to check the “find my phone” options in the settings menu. Ensure that the top option is not ticked as it draws considerably more power. The “find my phone” service will still work even if both boxes are unticked.
NINE: If you are having issues connecting to the internet using mobile data or problems with MMS installing (and running), Nokia’s network setup app from the marketplace (via the Nokia collection section) may help.

TEN: If your battery is empty and the phone doesn’t restart promptly, connecting it to your PC via USB sometimes wakes it up faster than using the normal charger.

How to unlock developer mode for free in Nokia Lumia windows phone.

Here is tutorial about how to register your phone as a developer phone for free. You can deploy upto 10 xap to your device, also u can unlock 3 Windows phone using 1 Live ID. (some people are saying they can deploy only 3 apps)

PLEASE  READ THE WHOLE THING FIRST AND THEN PROCEED WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS.

1.The main thing is to get a free student account i.e a edu email address.

So here goes,
You need to sign up, here.

At the signup page, you need to tick,

"I am a new student and have never attended any Maricopa Community College or Skill Centers."    this option, then fill in the captcha and continue.

Next you need to give personal information, make sure you give your real information,
except thePost code  SSN which probably everyone doesnt have, so u can generate a FAKE SSN,
Here, and post code, you could just google up for a post code of "Arizona" or probably any postcode in the US would do.

After you finish signup, you will get an MEID, a email, and a password.

Make sure you save all these info with you, in a notepad or sumtin.

Ok now it takes sumtime to activate the account, as they say 20 mins, just give it 20 mins and then, go to Here , click  NO, den put your details there, put the same password as before.

Now try to loggin to maricopa.edu/google/   or goto https://mail.google.com/ and use the Email and password.

Once you get access,
goto  here  and you need a live account to login with, so you use the live account to sign in with.

Goto get verified,
If you have ur LIVE ID signed up at Dreamspark , then follow this link.

You will be asked to signin with ur Live ID or u will b taken to https://www.dreamspark.com/Verify/Default.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0

Once your done here, you should get a verification email in your .edu email, so go chek it out there and click on the verification link , now you have an edu email and a dreamspark account!!

Now Create an Apphub account and link it to your Dreamspark LiveId.

a.After Dreamspark is verified, go to App Hub - home register your Windows Live ID and signup as a student. It will ask if you have a verified Dreamspark account.

Add contacts to the home screen by just tapping and holding a name in the People Hub, then tap on “pin to start”. Once you return to the home screen, you can tap the contact and get one-click access to calling, texting, or emailing the contact.

Add a OneNote document to your home screen by opening the Office Hub. Within the Office Hub, find your OneNote document, tap and hold on it to pull down the options menu. Then tap “pin to start” to put it on your home screen. Once it is on your home screen, a single tap will let you edit and view the OneNote document.

How to Unlock Windows Phone 7 with ChevronWP7
