1. Apple iPad 3
 After a great success of iPad 2 Apple has decided to launch a new version iPad 3. It a very advanced tablet which has very advanced features. iPad 2 is expected to have evolved with many features to give birth to iPad3 retina display with 2048*1536 pixel resolution, thunderbolt technology and wireless sync, to name a few. It will also feature an upgraded processor (A6) are new version of existing OS and iCloud sync. Beside camera and other speculation, it’s a bit difficult to believe that Apple would actually consider making it thicker even if it is already .7 mm thicker, as Apple is been fairly obsessed with slimming down its products.

2. Samsung Flexible AMOLED Display.


Samsung announced that company will launch flexible AMOLED displays by early 2012. The 4.5 inch flexible AMOLED display boasts 800*480 resolutions and can be folded into a 1 cm radius tube. What attracts eyeballs to AMOLED’s feature is its resistance. Since thedisplay is not made of circuits or glass it could even resist a hard blow by a hammer.



3. Apple iPhone 5.

People are still waiting for iphone 5 and it’s a rumor that new iphone 5 will be much thinner, faster, and more efficient which is expected to boast the Apple’s latest A5 processor chip. It will be only half inch wider along with iOS 5, flash camera 8MP (up to 3264*2448P resolution, retina display and many more.


4.LG's 55in OLED HDTV (LG 55EM9600).

LG has come up with world's largest OLED TV which is 52in .Its organic light-emitting diode display technology is the future of flat-panel tech. OLED comes with better picture quality than either plasma or LCD/LED, wide viewing angles and lightning-fast response times--combined with an unbelievable form factor. The winning LG measures just 4mm in depth, "three credit cards thick" as LG's Tim Alessi cooed accepting the award, and boasts a bezel around the screen just 1mm wide. It's basically all gorgeous picture.Even though the rival Samsung had come up with a similar product, But Samsung stands next to this.As LG OLED TV has better display and also it comes with 4pixel combination where as Samsung continues with the same typical 3pixels. We think we would have given this a better ranking.

 

5. Samsung Galaxy S3.

 After a great success of Samsing Galaxy s2 now it is reported that Samsung has been preparing its next version which is Samsung Galaxy S3. This next version is expected to have Exynos 4212 processor with 1.8GHz and an ARM Cortex A9 chip, that is going to offer a 25 percent performance boost and a 30 percent reduction in power consumption. It is most probably going to be powered by Google’s latest OS, which is Android Ice Cream Sandwich. According to rumors Samsung might launch Galaxy S3 with iPhone 5 simultaneously.

 

6. Nokia Gem.

 Nokia Gem is a new concept phone revealed by Nokia. GEM which has taken the realm of touch-screen smart phones to the next level a touch phone. It is dubbed the Gem because the phone has all around touch screen with interactive displays just like the facets of precious stone.
So if you are using a navigation app, for instance, you can have an overview just by flipping over the phone to the next side. Gestures are used to open apps in the phone since there are no physical buttons. Which futuristic design and its adaptability to common tasks, the eye candy will be a device that everyone would fall for. Gem holds interactive back and front and makes possible for one to pinch and zoom the read of the phone while getting a constant clear view of the image on the front or you could have the same image at differing zoom factors on either side of the phone, allowing you to flip between a detailed map view and large scale area.

7. Quad Core Mobile Devices.

 Quad-core is the new Dual-core! 2012 will see the launch of Quad-core smartphones with high resolution screens and graphics. nVidia Tegra 3 and Qualcomm Snapdragon are fighting for the fastest quad processor. According to Nvidia smartphones boasting its quad-core Tegra 3 processors might be launched in the first half of 2012. While, Qualcomm says that its quad-core Snapdragon will be launched in Windows 8 tablets in the second half of 2012. It will offer some amazing features like advanced video and photo edition, multi-tab web browsing, high-end graphics games, improved voice control and “air” gestures and better multitasking etc.

 

8. Parrot AR Drone 2.0

Yeah we you all know the Parrot AR Drone 1.0 was released few of years back and we all had thought it was a cool 1 . But Drone 2 is still better and awesome. The ability to fly a really cool looking quad-copter through the office with your smartphone was enough to excite any geek, and that was made by Parrot. Version 2 has come up with totally new software which supports android and with all new hardware components. The Drone 2.0 comes with a 720p camera that takes both video and still photos and sends them automatically to your phone or tablet.  Its flying control has been improved in version 2.


9. Nokia HumanForm.

Nokia HumanForm is said to have a bendable structure and offers a nanotechnology enabled experience and a bendable transparent display. The concept is truly amazing showcasing how various human interactions can be used to control a device. Gestures like shaking the device, bending it, turning it all have been cleverly used to make this concept truly mind-bending.




10.PlayStation Vita.
The next version of the PSP called the PlayStation Vita is set to be launched in 2012. The gaming console would have a quad-core graphics processor, and would be mroe impressively and elegantly designed. It would boast a 5-inch OLED multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, 24-bit color with a resolution of 960 × 540 qHD and has pixel density of 220 ppi, both front and rear cameras and other awesome features like face detection, head detection and head tracking that can be used for personalization and customization.

After my article of Top 10 Most Expensive Mobile Phones in the World i decided to make Top 10 Most Sold Smartphones of 2011 article.
2011 is one of the best year for launching some of the great smartphones. Like worlds best smartphone (Samsung galaxy S2) comes in 2011. Nokia lumia also announced and released in 2011.

The Motorola Droid X is a smartphone manufactured by Motorola Mobility, Inc. that runs the Android 2.3.The Droid X features a 1.0 GHz TI OMAP3630-1000 processor, a 4.3 in (110 mm) FWVGA(854 x 480) Tft LCD display, 8 GB of internal flash memory and a 16 GB MicroSD card, and is compatible with microSDHC cards up to 32 GB. 8. Samsung Infuse 4G:  9 million sold



The Samsung Infuse 4G is an Android smartphone that was announced by Samsung in January 2011. It features a 1.2 GHz "Hummingbird" processor along with 8–16 GB internal Flash memory, a 4.5 inch 480×800 pixel Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display,

Camer: 8-megapixel backside  and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera.
The phone allows for full 1080p video playback, with a built in hardware decoder for H.263, H.264 and MPEG-4 video; it can also play MP3, AAC+, AMR, Ogg Vorbis, WAV, MIDI, FLAC and WMA audio. It has a Micro-B USB port at the bottom which conforms to the GSMA Universal Charging Solution. Price 4250$.



7. Motorola Droid Bionic: 13 million sold



 The Motorola Droid Bionic is an Android-based, 4G LTE-capable smartphone designed by Motorola. It was originally scheduled for release in Q2 2011 but was delayed until September 2011.
The smartphone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, HDMI output, 1 GHz OMAP dual core processor, a 4.3" qHD display, 3G/4G wireless hotspot capability, GPS, an 8 MP low-light–capable camera with 1080p HD video capture and a front-facing camera capable of Video Chat.
Motorola Droid Bionic (also known as Motorola XT875) will be the first dual core Android handset to use Verizon's 4G LTE network. It comes with a 4.3 inch qHD (960 x 540) display, a 1 GHz OMAP4 dual-core processor from Texas Instruments, and 1GB of LP DDR2 RAM. It also has an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video and a front-facing camera to support video calling. The phone comes with Adobe Flash and HTML5 support, as well as with HDMI output to an HDTV. Price: 300$(re-amounted).



6. HTC Evo 4G:  14 million sold



 The HTC Evo 4G (trademarked in capitals as EVO 4G, also marketed as HTC EVO WiMAX ISW11HT in Japan) is a smartphone developed by HTC Corporation.The smartphone launched on June 4, 2010.
The EVO is powered by the Qualcomm QSD8650 chipset which contains a Snapdragon Scorpion microprocessor clocked at 1 GHz and an embedded Adreno 200 graphics chip capable of up to 22 million triangles per second.
It features 512MB of eDRAM which allows for a smoother experience with Android OS, applications, and the HTC Sense user interface. The device also features 1024MB of built-in ROM which is mainly used for the system software.The device comes pre-installed with an 8 GB Class 2 microSDHC card.





5. Nokia N9:   ???  million sold

 

The Nokia N9  is a smartphone made by Nokia based on the MeeGo "Harmattan" mobile operating system, the first from Nokia on the MeeGo OS. In August 2011 Nokia announced that it will not be introducing the Nokia N9 to key markets such as Japan, Canada, Sweden, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S despite earlier announcements.
It was released in three colors: black, cyan and magenta

The Nokia N9 is powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP 3630 which is a System-on-a-chip based on a 45 nanometer CMOS process. It includes three processor units: a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU which runs the operating system and applications, an Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX 530 GPU supporting OpenGL ES 2.0 and capable of processing up to 14 million polygons per second; and a 430 MHz TI TMS320C64x, a digital signal processor, which does image processing for the camera, audio processing for telephony and data transmission. The system also has 1 GB of low power single channel RAM (Mobile DDR). Compcache uses part of this memory as compressed fast swap.

The back camera has an autofocus feature, dual LED flash, is optimized for 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio and has a 4× digital zoom for both video and camera. The sensor size of the back camera is 8.7 megapixel (3552 x 2448 px); the effective resolution for the 16:9 aspect ratio is 3552 x 2000 px (7.1 megapixel) and 3248 x 2448 px (8 megapixel) for 4:3 aspect ratio. It is capable of video recording at up to 720p at 30 fps with stereo sound.
NFC is also supported for sharing photos, contacts, or music with other devices supporting NFC.
The Nokia N9 has either a 16 or 64 GB eMMC (mass storage memory) and 1024 MB NAND (ROM) non-removable storage.

 4. HTC Thunderbolt:  16 million sold



The HTC ThunderBolt  is the first 4G LTE smartphone on the Verizon Wireless network. It is a CDMA/LTE variant of the HTC Desire HD. In addition to 4G service, the ThunderBolt is the first Verizon phone to support simultaneous voice/data over 3G without the help of Wi-Fi.
The phone was launched March 17, 2011.

The ThunderBolt has a second generation 1Ghz Snapdragon processor manufactured by Qualcomm, and runs on Verizon's 4G LTE Network. It runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, with the custom HTC Sense 2.1 skin as the user interface. It has a 4.3-inch class (480×800) WVGA TFT capacitive touchscreen covered by Gorilla Glass.
Two cameras are included; an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, able to record 720p video, with a dual-LED flash, and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. The phone has 768 MB of RAM and 8 GB of eMMC of internal flash memory data storage. An external microSDHC card slot supports up to 32 GB more storage memory, which comes preinstalled.

The Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100) is a smartphone running under the Android operating system that was announced by Samsung on February 13, 2011 at the Mobile World Congress. The Galaxy S II was one of the slimmest smartphones of the time, mostly 8.49 mm thick.The Galaxy S II has a 1.2 GHz dual-core  processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 10.8 cm (4.3 in) WVGA Super AMOLED Plus screen display and an 8 megapixel camera with flash and full 1080p high definition video recording.The Galaxy S II has 1 GB of dedicated RAM and 16 GB of internal mass storage. Within the battery compartment there is an external microSD card slot.

 On May 9, 2011, Samsung announced that they had received pre-orders for 3 million Galaxy S II units globally.

The iPhone 4S is a touchscreen slate smartphone developed by Apple Inc. It is the fifth generation of the iPhone, a device that combines the 3.5-inch (89 mm) iPod Touch with mobile phone capability.Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 4S on October 7, 2011 in seven initial countries (United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan) with the first delivery date set for October 14, 2011.Unlocked (contract-free) sales started on November 11, 2011.It is available on 100 carriers in 70 countries overall.

The camera on the iPhone 4S can shoot 8 MP stills (3264 by 2448 pixels) and record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second with upgraded quality (30% better clarity, 26% better white balance, color accuracy) due to an additional lens, IR filter, a wider f/2.4 aperture, and Image signal processor (built-in A5). Other features of the camera are macro (for close up pictures) and faster capture including being able to take its first picture in 1.1 seconds and the next half a second later.
The iPhone 4S supports video out via AirPlay and various Apple A/V cables. Supported video formats include such as H.264 (1080p 30 fps max.), MPEG-4 video, and motion JPEG
The iPhone 4S has a dual-core Apple A5 processor, compared to the one-core Apple A4 processor used in the iPhone 4. It has 512 MB of RAM, the same as its predecessor.    Maximum available storage size increased to 64 GB whilst the 32 GB and 16 GB model options were retained. The screen is the same as the prior generation iPhones; 3.5 inch, 640×960 resolution (Apple's "retina" design)..

The phone is made of 950 platinum. In addition to it, 18 carat rose gold is used in the navigation key and its logo. The reverse and the side of the phone are made of the macassar ebony. The keypad of the phone is of the solid platinum which is engraved carefully and finally hand colored.
