[Tweak] How to zoom in or out during video recording in Nokia N9 / 950 - Meego Harmattan - PR1.1 - Full step by step - step Tutorial

Nokia N9 not support zoom in/out during video recording by default. It may be possible in newer updates for meego by nokia . Don't worry we bring solution for you with simple tweak. Just follow the simple steps below any you will done.

NOTE:- This tweak only work in PR1.1 or above. If you don't have PR1.1 then no change may occour.(check your version by dialing - *#0000# )



1. Download camera.conf from here first. - camera.conf


Tip:- First of all you should know that before doing any development work / acces system / tweak data you should enable Developer mode from settings. After that only you can start any tweak .


2. So just Enable Developer mode by this way:-
Settings > Security > Developer Mode and slide the developer mode toggle to the on position.Then accept the warring to yes.

(If you doing this first time then Nokia download some files so internet is required. After files downloaded your device will reboot.

3. Now start terminal from main menu . (it will only appear after development mode is enabled.)

4. Give command "devel-su". ()this command is to become root in Meego / Harmattan.
Enter the default password - "rootme"

Now the shell prompt changes # from $. (it's shows that now you are root).

5. Now type and enter the following command on terminal to copy camera.conf file from N9's default
storage directory to root level etc directory:- cp /home/user/MyDocs/camera.conf /etc/ camera.conf

Now it become again # from $ (if you done every thing correctly)

6. Now restart your Nokia N9 to take changes in camera settings.


Congretulation!!!
Now you can zoom in and out while video recording.
